SCP-1036 (?)
SCP-1036 refers to several warm, wooden figurines from the Kongo culture, each depicting a human or animal form covered in iron nails and featuring shiny metal eyes or abdomen. These figurines each contain a powerful, invisible spirit bound to them through old rituals. If someone makes eye contact with a figurine, or if a nail falls out, the spirit can cause severe mental and physical harm to people nearby, making them violently hurt themselves or others. To contain them, the figurines are kept in locked iron boxes in a dry place, and a shaman regularly adds new nails to keep the spirits trapped, often covering the figurines' reflective parts before handling them.
Röstigraben (?)
The "Röstigraben" is a metaphorical term in Switzerland referring to the cultural and linguistic divide between the German-speaking and French-speaking (Romandy) parts of the country. Literally meaning "Rösti ditch," it highlights differences in culture, mentality, and sometimes political opinions, with Rösti being a dish typical of German-Swiss cuisine. This concept emerged during World War I and is often used facetiously to describe various disagreements between the two regions, with a similar term, "Polentagraben," existing for the divide with the Italian-speaking canton of Ticino.
